It's patriotic! but there is no dependency info about the gpp-library. So basically, all you can use is‚Ä¶ opensource drivers, which is far from prefect at the moment. Fglrx Driver doesn't list anything similar to your problem in any log i looked at.

I want video to work. You are stuck with the open-source driver, which is improving but still not quite 'there yet'. Since it's closed-source, only AMD can work on it and give efficient support, and the open-source community can generally not help you with problems. It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. Okay, I used the package-creator script from http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/l...64-radeon.html and created the debian package with it, maybe the debian repository version is okay.
